Our Commitment to Your Child’s Well-Being
At Hometown Academy, nothing is more important than the health and safety of the children in our care. We believe that a nurturing learning environment starts with a secure foundation—physically, emotionally, and socially. Families trust us to provide not only high-quality STEM education, but also a safe space where children can thrive every day.
Safe and Secure Environment
Clean, Sanitized Spaces: Classrooms, toys, and learning materials are cleaned and disinfected daily using child-safe products.
Secure Facilities: Our center uses secure entry systems to ensure only authorized individuals have access to classrooms and activity areas.
Emergency Preparedness: Staff are trained in emergency procedures, including fire drills, lockdowns, and severe weather plans, practiced regularly with children in age-appropriate ways.
Health Practices
Illness Prevention: We follow strict health guidelines for illness symptoms, hand-washing, and daily wellness checks to minimize the spread of germs.
Nutrition & Allergies: Our staff carefully review dietary needs, allergies, and food sensitivities to keep mealtimes safe and healthy.
Medical Readiness: At least one staff member trained in CPR and First Aid is always present on site.
Staff Training & Oversight
Certified & Trained Teachers: All staff undergo background checks and training in child safety, mandated reporting, and emergency response.
-
Continuous Education: Teachers receive ongoing training in best practices for health, safety, and early childhood development.
-
Low Teacher-to-Child Ratios: Smaller class sizes allow for closer supervision and safer learning environments.
Family Partnership
We view parents as partners in creating a safe and healthy community. From daily updates to open communication about wellness policies, families can feel confident that their child’s well-being is our top priority.
